The Free and Fair Election- Aare Anabury

AN ONLINE PUBLIC LECTURE ON THE 2019 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

TITLED: ELECTION EVE we pray free and fair By Aare Anabury

SUB TOPIC: NIGERIAN'S WAKE UP

President Muhammadu Buhari said and I quote, He expressed deep disappointment over the postponement of the presidential and National Assembly polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The main opposite in this 2019 presidential election who is an aspirant of the Peoples Democratic party Atiku Abubakar who was fortunate to be the formal vice president to OBJ during his tenure said and I quote i was in great shock when I heard the election has been postpone. Who is fooling who???
President Mohamed Buhari who happens to be the presidential candidate of the APC has run for this presidency Four different time before now and Atiku Abubakar has run 3 time for the presidency and he ran 2 times as vice president, would both of them deny the fact that they were not informed that as 15th of feb, 9pm on that Friday night election materials has not been in majority of the state, so there why would they come out to start pretending, we Nigerians must wake up from our slumber.
For 58 years, Nigerian politicians have employed wholesale rigging, thieving, destruction, and murder to silence the Nigerian masses. The centerpiece of this operation was a “godfather”, who financed the election runs of major candidates, beginning from the determination of those who emerge from corrupt party primaries

It is no longer news that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the wee hours of Saturday, February 16 announced last-minute rescheduling of the 2019 general elections billed to commence that same morning, a decision that has, expectedly, drawn flaks from Nigerians all over and beyond.

In spite of giving assurances that INEC was fully and hundred per cent ready, the commission's Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, had announced within a few hours to the commencement of voting, that the elections would be delayed by one week.
Prof Yakubu attributed the postponement to logistics and operational challenges. He cited poor weather conditions, which made distribution of electoral materials across the country difficult. Please what poor weather are we experiencing in Nigeria, I wonder why we have set of lies as leaders.
He also mentioned arsonist attacks on INEC offices and facilities in some states, notably Plateau, Abia and Anambra, which necessitated that the lost materials be replaced urgently but were all this done hours to the election, why can't they just make this decision earlier.

Yakubu described the rescheduling as a difficult decision, to enable the commission to ensure successful conduct of the elections and the consolidation of the country's democracy.

He however, took full responsibility for the decision and expressed regret for the inconveniences caused. But here comes the great question,
Have we learnt our lesson...
I find it unpleasant why leaders of this country plays with our future, Atiku or Buhari non of their children are suffering, non of them are collecting minimum wages, non of them went to the public primary, secondary and institution, you and I went to. Then why must we fight each other over leaders who are cruel, unrealistic, bias, wicked, mentally derail and who does want the betterment of this country.

In the final analysis, though I see no new party winning but the way I see it, who will win the 2019 presidential election will be determined by what is most important to voters at this time. If it is fight against corruption, Buhari will get re-elected, even though his anti-corruption war is flawed. But if people are more interested in restructuring and a better economy, Atiku will carry the day. Whoever gets elected must, however, put independent and enduring anti-corruption mechanisms in place.

I wish Nigerians best of lucky in the race of choosing the next PRESIDENT but before I end I want all this OLD men to know we are coming and when the time comes, they should know it will be in a very HARD way, not something they could ESCAPE.
